I love the idea of the parallel here.

They met because Crocodile was using Robin to try and get Pluton, and despite everything, Robin refused to cooperate fully.

Now, years on, they've ACTUALLY found Pluton, and Robin's immediate thought (unprompted) is to ask her captain if he wants it, and he turns her down.

I'm genuinely amazed Luffy remembered that Franky burnt the blueprints.

He says he doesn't need it, but if that's stuck in his memory, then he understands the emotional impact of what Pluton means to Franky (since I think he really only remembers things like that)

This always fascinated me. Robin fought tooth and nail to keep that information out of the hands of people like Crocodile or the government, but she still offers it to Luffy. Granted I'm certain she knows he'd say no, but I also don't doubt she would get it for him if he asked. That level of trust and faith she has in her captain that she knows he'd have a REAL good reason to want an ancient weapon is pretty cool. Heck, maybe we'll see something like this come to fruit given the growing evidence that the last weapon is in the hands of the government. And fighting an ancient weapon with an ancient weapon was the whole reason Franky had the og blueprints after all, so it isn't too far feteched.

Dang i misread the manga bc robin and franky were so close together. I thought franky was casually asking luffy if he wanted him to build pluton, showing how much trust he had in luffy to just casually offer him the thing hes dedicated his life to keeping safe from bad people.
