Rep. Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, says he won't hesitate to issue fast subpoenas to White House officials as his committee continues to investigate a July phone call between President Donald Trump and the president of Ukraine. Trump has denied any wrongdoing during the phone call, during which he asked the Ukranian leader for help investigating former vice president and 2020 candidate Joe Biden and his son. Schiff's committee released a redacted version of the complaint ahead of a hearing Thursday. "The whistleblower has given us detailed and credible allegations ... as to how to find out the contours of this presidential misconduct," Schiff told Judy Woodruff on Thursday's PBS NewsHour, adding that he felt the White House was complicit in trying to keep the whistleblower's complaint from Congress. "We're going to move very quickly to compulsion if we're told that there's no willingness to cooperate because we feel a sense of urgency here."
