This proves the fact that media don’t follow certain teams. I’m realising it’s not just to do with location/market, but also to do with superstars. Jimmy isn’t deemed to be one even though he is better than Tatum.
Because of that his team flies under the radar. Anyone who’d accuse Jimmy of being passive, in these playoffs clearly hasn’t been following him. He has better stats than Tatum and is on a nice little run. Even before tonight’s showing.
This team will win the series, because the Bucks would have won the series had one other player but Giannis showed up offensively. Tonight Butler was supported by his team. Which is what wins games. Team basketball. I know it’s not sexy, I know the media likes superstars carrying teams or even better…superteams, but if you have a solid player with help, they can work magic.
For the record, come post season Jimmy butler is a superstar of the highest order. The man already has Lebron beaten in some categories for the heat.
