What this playoffs has shown is that great QB play matters (Look what happened with the Steelers, Titans, and 49ers). As great as the 49ers was, they had trouble getting the ball into the end zone on a consistent basis. I knew the 49ers were in trouble once the Rams regained the lead in the 4th quarter.

Jimmy G took a struggling 49ers team further than any of us thought this season. I didn't even think they were a playoff team mid season. But, underdog Jimmy G hung in there against "Allstar" teams which were built for Superbowl or bust.
