In this video, I'm going to show you how to reset your MySQL password if you have forgotten it or was not prompted to setup it up while installing.

You don't need to remember the OLD password for changing to a new one!

MySQL closes on entering password?

I have provided you the possible solution. Please read it carefully still if you facing a problem

This means that the password you entered is incorrect.

Possible solutions:

1. Passwords are Case-sensitive. So make sure to check caps lock and num lock on your keyboard while entering the password.

2. Check the change.txt for the password that you've set. Enter that same password in the MySQL cmd line client.

3. Make sure that you've stopped the MySQL service first, as I've done in the video. If u skip this, your password won't reset.

4. Check that the change.txt has exact same thing that I've shown in the video.
5. Also make sure that cmd opened is in administrator mode, else it will show you an error( error message I have given in my video).


6. If these don't work, watch the video from start to end without skipping.. possibly you might have missed a few steps and details.



Important


If you get an error while doing the steps, or you face any problems, please recheck all the commands, all the steps, and everything in the video thoroughly!

There could be a small unnoticeable error that might waste your time!! Save your time by watching the video completely.
