Ok but unironically, 0-2-3 snipers on close are monsters if done correctly.

There is actually an easier way to pop purple Bloons but you need to have cross the streams monkey knowledge point which allows 2 plasma accelerators that have crossed lasers to create an energy puddle which can damage purple Bloons.

Im actually using x23 and above snipers on close. İf you put them in a good spot, close targting lets sharapnels to be used to their (almost) full potential. Ive even done some 2megapops challanges with 025 sniper on close

When using snipers set them elite targeting and they will target strong until something almost gets to the end then it will switch to first
