Making me video one long take is a good tip that I immediately found helpful.

I learned the hard way about both be aware and setup the shot. Good advice on both.

The one long video tip is so helpful! I watched other creators say multiple clips are better, but editing all those little clips seemed overwhelming for me…

The tip about rolling on and giving yourself cues where you messed up. Really helpful for starting out. Thank you.

The tip that I found both most surprising and most useful is to use padding and pauses. What a simple but great idea! It's going to make editing so much easier.

Thank you for this video. One long take has made a big difference, especially when making videos at home on my own. It feels easier to take the time to trim and cut than it would to track multiple takes.

When I screw up, I pause, but I have a hard time making a splice that looks good. That's why I was surprised to hear you say to record all at once.

Great video. My favorite chip was the clap when you need to reset. That is just brilliant!

Adding pauses and padding was the most useful tip I learned.

Thanks Katie. The best of this: "This is taking so much longer than what I thought." That is what I often think while making my videos. You however gave me the tip of not stopping everytime I make a mistake, but keep on recording and then edit. I will try this.

Oh, the "dead air" practice. I go to make recordings in Mindbody or hit record on Zoom, and well, there we go, I'm talking right off the bat, and I should have paused. Will try this today, as I teach a class today for the Veterans Yoga Project in the Mindbody app. Wish me luck! Oh, I love your "outtake"! LOL

Another awesome video. Keep rolling was the standard during the VHS days as the tape had to get up to speed. How many cameras are you using for this video? Is it 3 cameras and 1 take, or are you using 1 camera and 3 takes?

We have a volunteer fire company close to our house, and they have a loud and obnoxious horn. One fire company has one that sounds like the one you played in this video. Those horns/alarms always seems to go off at the worst times. 🙄
