GM, as my dealer has informed me, knows of this issue and there isn't a fix as of 2-7-24. All the prior comments on shutting off, restarting infotainment system in safe mode, and holding end call methods work. I believe the root of the issue is the android auto and apple car play connections. If I "forget" all of the phones from the infotainment system I don't have the problem. As soon as I reconnect the phones the audio issues present again. Just another thing for everyone to try. Ive had no phones connected for a month and zero issues. Reconnected, and had multiple issues within a few days.

Happened for the first time in the middle of our road trip. Here is what worked: put the vehicle in park, hold the mute button on the steering wheel until the radio restarts, once the radio restarts get out of the vehicle (or just open and close the door as if you did) and wait for the vehicle to completely power down (takes about a minute or two), then turn on the vehicle and the audio should come through as normal.

I have a new Tahoe. Mine did it for the first time yesterday. I started it with the MyChevy app. Turned it off and restarted with the button and it worked fine.

I just experienced the same issue with my 2020 Silverado even the OnStar system wouldn't put out audio. What I did after I tried what you mentioned about the end call button is turn off the truck open the door and wait 3-4 minutes for the vehicle system to shutdown. When I started the vehicle the audio was working properly.
I hope this process helps anyone having the same issue.

I’ve been so annoyed at this issue with my 2023 1500 RST, the hold end call button worked for me! Appreciate it! The safe mode trick works as well but it limits your system to radio and won’t let you do Spotify or anything else installed on the system (for me at least) so you have to eventually turn the truck off and wait for at least 5 minutes to turn back on and have the system reset. I’ll stick to the end call button for 5-10 seconds instead since it seems to bypass all the nonsense of safe mode.

Thanks for your video. I have a 2023 Colorado Lt with package 2. I had the same issues with my radio screen and cluster, all blackout while driving and resets on its own, super frustrating. Took my truck to the service dept and they ended up replacing the 11" screen on it. I was super happy lol, Only about a few months later (2 weeks ago) it happened again back to back. I haven't reported it yet because it is working now ever since that happened but the controls behind the steering wheel on the left which changes the radio stations are not working properly, only when they feel like working .

I saw a comment, that I cant find now saying to just wait until the radio boots up before putting it in gear. So far its worked for me.

Same problem 2023 RST Silverado 900 miles has been happening since I picked it up. No idea what’s going on. This is so frustrating I want to return the truck under the Ma. Lemon law

My 23 Tahoe RST does this with Apple Carplay. Android Auto works fine. I've tried reset and worked once. Shutting the vehicle off for awhile never worked.

When you loose audio you won't hear blinkers either.

Only solution which I've done 3 times now is pull the red battery terminal off for a minute and reconnect. It worked every time. You need a 10mm socket.

I have a 2020 Silverado. No solution to this problem yet, but I recently discovered that when the infotainment is on and speakers stop working, if you use the dash screen where the odometer is, you will notice that the music scene there does not work. It’s as if it errors on start up there and the speakers run through that.

2020 Custom Silverado, been happening for about 3 months now. Custom trucks don't have the end call on the steering wheel, is there an equivalent method using the screen?

Just today running errands, music from home to ups store, no music from ups to panera, worked from panera to home. Thought is was my android, but just got a new phone, same issue.
