IF you make the yellow rail first, top left, you move the 8 upon the rail and open up the red.

for a simple player with basic billiards playing principles... a real player will only shoot the 1ball and break the ten ball with a middle english to create space or opening to shoot the 7 ball.

Playing the yellow off the red would push the red into the 8 off the cushion, and the white would naturally get into perfect position

It's a great shot, but impossible to play on your typical pub pool table with a cloth that looks like it was made from your grans woollen jumper, levelled with beer mats under the legs, cushions as dead as the dodo, and a set of balls with more craters in them than the moon.
