Point Cloud Processing with LiDAR Tools of WhiteboxTools in QGIS

From QGIS 3.18 you can load point clouds in QGIS. With LiDAR tools from WhiteboxTools you can add a lot of useful processing tools QGIS for analysis and interpolation of LAS files. In this video some tools will be demonstrated and results will be visualised in the 2D and 3D view.

Nice demo. I was looking for how to colorize LAS data, found info on the Whitebox QGIS plugin and installed that, and then found this video as a tutorial. It really made things a lot easier, and you pointed out some extra features like blocking out water, which had low quality edges. Now I know to also install the "Quick OSM" toolset. QGIS has come a long way in the last 5-10 years!

Impresive, finally a way to colorize point clouds with rasters!!. One question theo the Ambient Occlussion i mesh only tool? isn´t a way to do so with point cloud?. Cloud Compare can, but has artifacts on the edges where it gets too bright.

Thank you for the helpful demo! Do you know, if after the application of the LidarRooftopAnalysis tool the field AREA is supposed to be an area of a sloped segment or just an area of a projection of points identified as a segment on the horizontal plane of building footprint geometry?
