This is EXACTLY what I’ve been going though this week. I got my first drone the DJI Mini 2 three days ago and I’m slowly getting less scared of it by flying daily. Thanks for this.

New to drones and a channel like this is fantastic! I really enjoy your delivery of the information and it helps to see I'm not alone in my initial nervousness to fly lol. Bought a DJI Mini 3 about a week ago and still practicing joystick moves to get smooth control of the drone.

My phone battery died very quickly for whatever reason and my mini 2 flew off! I kept my cool, ran inside to try charging to reconnect. Went back outside hoping return to home would work. The DJI controller began beeping and I heard the drone returning overhead. What a relief!

As everyone knows, practice is very important for drone shooting. What can be recommended here furthere is while staying indoor you can get a drone simulator called SimuDrone. You can use your own DJI remote controller for practice. Thanks any way.

I have owned drones as a hobby flier, for almost 7 years, just flying around my own neighborhood, not bothering anybody, but lately with all the rules they have come up with, it sounds more complicated than when I had my commercial helicopter license. MY Q500 4K homes in on the transmitter , not the take off spot, on return to home it will come back, land and shut down with no input from me. I enjoyed flying and see it as a small plastic toy, not a full size airplane, like the rules seem to see them. I have not flown them in over a year because of all the scary rules. I am 75 years old now and it seems like every time I find a hobby I enjoy, they regulate it out of my budget.

Great tips; thanks Russ!
Another tip for more control when landing is switching the fly mode to cinema on the last few feet. This allows for smaller and smoother moves to get it to land on the pad in case it's a bit off.

I heard the word “contrast” 11 times in the instructions and 2 more times when you were telling us about the give away. I’m located in Fort worth, TX. I have an Ecoflow plus Booster and the solar panels. They are great and they got me through several power problems during power outages from weather problems. Once again, Ecoflow is the bomb. Love your videos!

Great tips. I just bought a DJI AIR 3. I also just passed the FAA Part 107 and looking to make this a career.

Hi I'm a Pakistani immigrant American and one of your subscribers. I subscribed when I first started to learn about drones, may be a yr and half ago. I have learnt a lot through your passion for drones and thankyou for it. I have my own monetized channel, of course not anywhere yet, but it's just for my passion. I'm writing to you while watching this video as I can totally relate to all that you just said. I have been flying my Mavic air for little over a year now but since I don't get any practice being a resident of the NYC

Follow modes on DJI drones. Always good to have a reminder on how those work.

When I was a beginner, the landing pad was a great tool to practice manual returns and landings. One you get comfortable with that, hand launching and landing is much easier to do.

Stress. That’s why we watch 51 drones. Have since my beginning and watching now. Can’t have to much schooling. 👍👍✌️

Such a great topic/observation. I have been through this twice.

First time as a newbie and a second time after I hadn’t used my drone for over a year.

Now I am working up the nerve to launch and land my drone on my moving sail boat.

I have almost lost my drone twice trying to launch, unsuccessfully, from my boat

Good tip. It’s also good to let the drone hover in place for a while to check its stability. I always do this.

I heard you say “contrast “ 13 times.
I’m from Alabama and have been watching your videos for years and enjoyed watching this one twice to do a little counting.
Thanks for the time you put in making great content.

Precision landing is not based on visual information but on GPS positioning. The reason for hovering over the landing spot is to give time for the Drone to calculate it's position by using the avalable satelites in the area. The more satelites it finds, better define the landing position.

Thanks for this amazing video. I totally have no clue in flying drones. I'm from Papua New Guinea . I watched videos of Drone Flying to get more familiarize myself before purchasing one for myself. By going through drone flying tips on YouTube, I came across your videos.
According to this video, "Contrast" was used 13 times as I watch through to the end.
I really appreciate your help.
Thank you once again.
