For those who can't make it work just swap the very top left copper(build) block with a observer looking up and red stone on top of that to the lever. Then just rebuild the bottom peices back into the correct spots if they move including the redstone block. On the right side of the lever put redstone but NOT on the observer. (Observers at the very top are facing the pistons)Then when you pull lever it should work.

Pro tip : you could just use redstone dust instead of a hopper. Works the exact same, thankyou

I solved it, destroy the top right observer and replace it with copper or any building material, and connect redstone leading from the lever to the copper block on top of the pistons right

I eventually figured it out but some of the observers it was hard to see which way they were facing and you couldn't really see some of the redstone dust
