That’s actually not accurate. Dodo Birds famously didn’t taste good and while the Dutch sailors still ate them from time to time the main reason for their extinction came from the invasive animals the sailors brought with them.

My daughter is obsessed with the Dodo bird and her love for the species. She actually tried out and got the part of the Dodo in a stage production of Alice and Wonderland at age 7 and used her role to bring awareness of the dodo to the audience at the conclusion of the play (that was unscripted), she just felt compelled for the audience to understand she wasn’t just a cute little dodo bird to smile at. She wanted them to know it was a devastating loss to human kind. AT SEVEN!!! It was a proud momma moment!

Here is the full story of the dodo bird

Dodo’s first started out as pigeons. The pigeons migrated to the Mauritius island once the pigeons arrived they realised there were no predators and there was a lot of food so they stayed. Over time they didn’t need to fly or run so they evolved into big birds with little wings which is known as the Dodo. England or Ireland came to the island and brought dogs, cats, rats and many other species of animals, since the dodo lived a life without predators it became fearless, literally. When the dodo saw dogs and other animals it thought it was a friend because it never dealt with predators so since the dodo never flied or ran when the dogs attacked them they quickly got wiped on top of all of that rats ate their eggs. The Dodo’s were defenceless so since they couldn’t protect their eggs or fly and run it caused their extinction and the last dodo was found in 1618. Thanks for reading

Apparently the dodo was not eaten by people and if they were it was a last option. It was meant to be very greasy. The predators people brought with them ate them and the rats ate their eggs. The dodo also evolved to the state that they had completely lost their ability to evade prey having short stubby legs and no flying power anymore. It was a joint effort all round for its demise.

what i heard is the dodos used to be colorful looking pigeons they flew to an island and decided to live there since they were safe until the dutch came to the island and brang animals with them, rats, dogs, and cats the mouses ate all their eggs then the humans realised the trees on that island the dodos were living on had trees, which they could sell for money.
