Rare footage of David using 0.01% of his power to summon a dodo from a painting

This made me feel so happy to see a more accurate depiction in motion.

If you look up baby pigeons, you might notice that they look kinda like dodos in shape. Based of that, it’s likely that dodos are essentially neotenous pigeons that grew giant while retaining their baby proportions.

I just want to turn the awful news off, ignore the TV, and just exist in a world where David Attenborough tells me about dead birds that just came alive from a painting!

Attenborough is an international treasure.

Bro it's unbeliveable that this bird existed only 200 years ago and yet no stuffed specimen nor fully accurate scientific description has remained

Sadly for them, they’d developed what’s called “island tameness.” They’d been isolated from predators on Mauritius for so long that, according to accounts, the first humans to arrive there could easily walk up to them and bludgeon them for supper. Due to their isolation and lack of need for self protection, they lost their ability to fly or run quickly. It’s a pity. They seem really cool and goofy and cute.

There's a painting of a dodo bird that lived in a garden in china with other rare birds. It is the best and most accurate we have, though it is suspected that the bird it was modeled after was a little rounder than the ones in the wild. Acording to that painting, it is true that they stood taller and didn't have that tuff of feathers on their tail. The colors are very similar too, but they look more neat in that painting.
We know it must be accurate becouse other exotic birds appear in it too, and they look very well depicted.

1:17 I knew it! I knew David Attenborough was a god. Man brought an extinct pigeon back to life to record a video

David and Nigel are the only two in existence who can time travel and summon creatures of the past

It probably had the personality of a pigeon as well. Very intellegent, very gentle, very affectionate to its flock and mate.

I don’t want to imagine a world where a nature documentary isn’t narrated by David Attenborough… the fact that he is 98 and still doing what he loves to this day is amazing!
