Great list! I'd add check the tires for cuts/sidewall rot, especially if the bike hasn't been used in a while like this one

Great, thanks ! typed/transcript here:
10 things to tune up your bike

1. clean and lube the chain
2. clean the whole bike, a quick wipe down will do
3. lubricate the cables and housings
4. check the wheels for trueness, spoke tension issues and hub adjustments
5. five inflate the tires
6. mark, remove, clean, and grease the seat post
7. check and adjust the shifting if needed
8. check the brakes are in good working order
9. look for any play in the headset
10. check that all the nuts and bolts on the bike are tight

I literally just did this a few weeks ago. I have a bike that I've had for about 12 years and I've ridden it maybe 12 times. Last time about 5 years ago. I cleaned it all up, lubed the chain. Had to change the grips because they had actually stated to degrade and since they were twist shifters. I changed to a lever shift. Now I ride about 3 times a week and thinking about upgrading.

Do we need to lube the pivots of the rd and fd? And the jockey wheels too? If yes, how often?

I had some really bad wheel alignment issues, checking spoke tension almost fixed it completely. Just hope that I didn't put to much pressure on a single spoke.

What should a guy lube his bike with. My rides are mostly highway and light trails. Would a mixed (dry and wet lube) suffice? I got a new bike about 2 weeks ago and today put crappy Wd 40 on it and it's not as smooth anymore. I don't want my chain all gummed up. Thoughts? Be around 40$ for a bottle of wet and a bottle of dry. So could I just get away with mixed lube and still have a smooth riding/shifting bike? And also have optimal chain protection? What do u recommend for chain lube brands?

IF YOU'RE WATCHING THIS AND HAVE A CARBON SEATPOST.. DO NOT GREASE IT!!..If You have a Carbon Frame and Seat Post.. try to use some Carbon Gripper Paste instead..
depending on the fit..if You have a Steel or Alloy frame and a Carbon Seat-Post and it's a tight fit into the frame? you may not need it..(might still be better off with some grip paste just incase) but if the Carbon post is a very easy fit into the frame?.. definitely use some gripper paste too.
if you have Metal frame and post?.. definitely use some grease.. otherwise you may just end up totalling your frame.. or just get a stuck post. :)

Lube cables and housings? Shouldn’t they just be replaced?

After 6 years.. no suggestion to REPLACE the tires?? Motorcycle tires are stamped with mfg date. Do rubber on bike tires never age and crack?
