That explanation was fantastic, way to not over complicate things and not assume the viewer already knows anything technical. Keep up the good teaching!

At 2:54 you called them "plugs". 😉

"THESE ARE NOT PLUGS, THESE ARE RECEPTACLES"

2:56 " Every one of these plugs aren't actually doing anything"

I do really enjoy watching this channel, very interesting the way installation work is carried out in the US. Also like the differences in terminology to the words we use in the UK. but at the end of the day electrical theory is the same where ever in the world you are in the world. Good Stuff Dustin 👍🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

For fun, could you look at the old Danish LK switched duplex sockets from the 20th century? These have most of the features shown on US duplex sockets but are for ungrounded European plugs and made to be installed in (3x2") boxes designed for their older single switched sockets . Nowadays, those boxes are used for single sockets (grounded) and miscellaneous gadgets only .

For another compact design look at Swiss triplet sockets that fit 3 plugs in a round box .

A completely different concept found in Europe is the temporary electrical panels used at construction sites to run powertools etc. before the final panels and wiring is installed . These temporary panels are rented from the electrical cintractor and contain everything from the meter to the outlets and are often put on a pole hammered into the mud in a corner of the site . The ekectrical contractor hooks it up and coordinates with the power company, other contractors just plug in their stuff .

Yeah, keeping track of socket types is fun .

I don't think I have ever heard someone say recieve and load so many times. Great video thank you for the info.

We should also mention that most modern day Receps are polarized, and their terminals are marked by a gold color terminal for the Hot, and Silver for the Neutral (Grounded Conductor). Also, be mindful of the rating of the Recep. UL listed utility receps are usually rated for 15 - 20 Amps. Be careful of the non-listed receps, especially the cheaply made ones.

Dustin. Does your editor have a problem with cat? Haha.

I'm picking up a lot from you channel. As a novice "electrician". I love understanding the values and load potentials your teaching me when it comes to certain conductors.

Love the video but here CEC says you can't run hot in and out of a receptacle you need a pigtail
