For those wondering how to make the Backrooms your default base of operations in Warframe: the game saves your last used Orbiter as your base of operations. If you switch to the Backrooms from your Orbiter, it will set the Backrooms as your new base. To confirm, try clicking on either the Drifter’s Camp or the normal Orbiter. If the game prompts you to switch the base of operations for both, you can be sure that the Backrooms is now your default base of operations.

I absolutely love that they learned their lesson from the dormizone. There's no point in a cozy apartment if you can't even launch navigation from there.
And to be clear, I would actually really love if they went back and overhauled the dormizone and made it a complete operations base: it's a neat little zone and having more options wouldn't hurt anyone. But for now I absolutely love our little warehouse apartment
