Removing and Inserting the Keyless Go Button for Mercedes-Benz

If the battery in your key is dead the KeylessGO system is unable to recognize the key and start the car. In that case you can remove the button and start the car with the key. It is easy to do!

Great video! I have a 2014 C250 coupe. Equipped w/ keyless go. I Typically just insert my key into the ignition to start but would like to upgrade to push to start. Would it work by just putting the button in? Is it really that simple?

I had no idea it was that simple. When filming an S63 coupe I didn't see the button and automatically thought the car did not have keyless go. After watching this video I'm assuming it probably did have it! Lol

Those the button itself has a battery? My car is displaying a “replace key battery” and although I did replace. Message is still there. Not sure if the button itself has a battery that needs to be changed as well.

hi ive just bought a 220d or cdi merc 2015 dont know about handle thing as i pick it up in 2 days, but orderd a button, i take it it works with keys in my pocket, if i left the car open and left keys in house would the button start the car, im in the uk

I just bought a new c class with keyless go but it doesn't have the button, if I to purchase on from amazon will it work for my car?, btw it has the small squares on the door which i use to unlock/lock the car but the dealer I got it from didn't provide the button

That will be the first thing I will do when I FGW get my E250 BlueTEC with that utterly stupid push start button: give me an actual key everyday!

If the car is equipped with it but it doesn't work, when I push it it shows a message "key isn't recognized" something like this, and I have to start it up manually by removing the Keyless GO button. Anyone had the same issue?
