I saw Smak live when Crna Dama album was released. If they were an American or British band they would be regarded as one of the great bands of the time…

The pianist playing on this record from Smak is named Miki Petkovski, formerly a member of Leb i Sol, and has been living in Canada for many years, still making a living from music. His song on the album 'Black Lady' (CrnaDama) by Smak is called 'Burden' (Tegoba). It is one of his most beautiful instrumentals ever."

I would describe Smak as a combination of Jethro Tull, Rush and Queen, more then just Deep Purple.. with a Balkan flavor. They were progy with a bunch of hit songs

SMAK is my fav band (some local patriotism involved) and rightly so, considering the quality. However, speaking of great instrumentals and guitar players in ex-YU, check out this song:
Zlatko Manojlovic - Jednoj zeni
Songs you find on YouTube will say it is from 1983, when album of same name was released, but song itself is actually from 1977, just like this album of SMAK is.

Hey man, great show, keep it up! 🙏❤️
If you haven't already - please check out the band TIME and their song "Pjesma No.3" (translates to Song No.3), one of the best bands from former Yugoslavia 👌
Rock on, bro! 🤘❤️❤️❤️
