Always always always get travel insurance. Two hours after sail away I fell and broke my humerus. Not only was my on ship medical covered, so was the early flight home for me and my husband from Curacao plus we got a refund for the cruise. Always get travel insurance!

When I went to coco cay in 1994, it was just a deserted island. No buildings at all, just a beach.

Hi! I will never go to another art auction on the ship. Spent way too much money on art I could have gotten after the cruise!

My American Express card provides me with travel insurance. So definitely check what is covered and if there are outside options for it.

Can you please make a video about the activities onboard? I would love to hear what the activities are like. Meaning the Ultimate Abyss and all the activities.

Do not fear the Rip Cord by I Fly. it is expensive, it is very short, but it is a thrill!!! .. I watched this video and found I am actually shown doing this activity! I had never done it before, and I loved it as you can see from my big smile! For those considering to do this activity you should know: Do not expect to fly higher than about 15 feet. You need to be in at least fair physical condition, and can not be over a certain weight ( think the limit was 200 lbs.)

Congrats on trying the i Fly! I saw it and KNEW I could never handle it as a 63 year old dude. The wind would probably yank my pants down!

When you mentioned St. Thomas, St. John's, Antigua, came into mind. Overall, I truly hate going into St. John's, Antigua, since I had a really bad experience there. We jumped on a last minute excursion (not with the ship) that miss led us on the actual cost of that excursion. We only brought with us a small amount of money into port and the rest onboard in the safe; so money was tight. After getting on this excursion (paid cash), we were told we could not get off at the the places stopped because we did not have enough money to pay for the actual places they stopped. Yes, it was extra! They told us of the extra fees for the tour only after we rode around on a very long drive in the back of a beat up van and had arrived at the first of two places that cost extra. At one point they made us get out of the van to stand along the side of the road and we had to wait for the van to return from going into a park. Needless to say, it was very hot and trying to find shade was a problem. We were in the middle of nowhere, thirsty and frighten! No one on this van ride to hell helped us, except one couple took pity on us and bought back a bottle of water after the second stop. We could had paid anyone back after getting on the ship, but no one was willing to help us out for $10 dollars. Please beware, on some of these so-called excursions on any given island, you get what you pay for and a few things you didn't.

Getting the travel insurance was a no brainer for us this time due to COVID. We don't do the drink package because we don't drink sodas and only enjoy alcoholic beverages sporadically. Great tips.

I know many will not agree with me. But from our experience, when I haven’t booked an excursion in advance, I regret it. Plus I book mine when they’re on sale online in advance. No excursions at ports ends up wasted time for us.

The last time we were at Coco Cay was back in 1991. Back then there was only a few easy up tents and a few folding tables with some snacks. Booked a 2021 December to go back and see whats new. 😋🌴CANT WAIT!!!!

I did fine on the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas without the drink package and I was happy with my basic drinks that were included which was milk, juice, and water.

I winged it at st Thomas and we got on a pickup truck converted into a tour truck thing and it took us to a secluded beach that had clear water and lots of fishes, great tour guides too

Never put your luggage outside of your room on the final night. For me, it's so much easier (and faster) to keep it with me and roll it off myself.

My neighbor, who cruises a lot, recommends being one of the last people off the ship. Far more comfortable. Make sure you don't plan your flight so close to the ship arrival.

I did two shore excursion @ Ketchikan, Alaska. There was sufficient time in between to go back to the cabin to do whatever. Always confirm the meeting time/location to make sure you are at the right place at the right time! (Exclusive Flightseeing & Crab Feast 9am to 12pm. Historic Ketchikan Trolley 1.30pm to 2.45pm)

We used our travel insurance when my husband got sick in Australia. It is worth every penny.

I don’t drink alcohol but I get a drink package. I think when you say “drink package” people automatically assume alcohol. I don’t like coffee or tea so therefore the refreshment package is awesome. I can drink as many non alcohol frozen drinks by the pool as I want and not keep track of the money being spent.
