MSM Download Tool - Unbricking / Reflashing stock Oxygen OS for Oneplus devices

With more ROM tinkering on my Oneplus 7Pro / 7TPro guides, it was only a matter of time that I would need the MSM Download Tool.

Anyone trying out ROMs should not hesitate using this tool, it does what it's supposed to well, and it serves as a great fallback option for when things go south.

I cannot thank you enough. I've been searching the internet all throughout trying to find a way to get back to stock OOS from a custom ROM. I followed a few XDA forum tutorials, but most of them assume you have a lot of prior knowledge, which is where everything went wrong... My phone isn't bricked, working normally on stock rom with root. I just wanna fallback to clean state (unrooted and locked), can I use this MSM method too?

Please help. Drivers ok - can see com5. But MSM always in NA status. Did reboots, different cables, test mode for pc. Nothing. Any suggestions?

and able to hear the charging sound when I plug in the charger.

I did this and it managed to download the image to the phone but the phone still freeze when booting up. Was it not just a brick and the phone is fried somehow? There's no visual damage that would indicate that the phone is broken. I tried several times and both with OOS 10 and OOS 11, with wiping everthing in recovery mode after and also tried without doing so.
