I started drawing last year, couldn’t even draw like a normal human being, I gave up. But a few months later, I dedicated my entire mind to drawing, and a few weeks later with the right tutorials. I’m starting to see progress and the fundamentals a lot easier. The first couple days of drawing is hard but just when you see that little bit of progress it just hits you like a rock. Making you want to draw all the time.

Ive always loved volleyball, playing when I was in middle school, I loved reading haikyu, demon slayer, jujutsu kaisen, one piece, chainsaw man, and manga in general, so I decided that I wanted to make a volleyball manga. I couldn’t think of a hooking story at first that has to involve volleyball since I couldn’t really think of anything unique like haikyu or blue lock, but then I realized, most of the people know volleyball for the flashiness in front, the insane spikes with insane speed and power and jump height, thats what Haikyu focused on by Hinata being opposite hitter of the brazilian jackals (I think thats what it was called) but then the show also has some scenes where they get their uniforms where they highlight the libero, nishinoyas uniform by making it orange instead of grey like the others on the karasuno team so he would stand out since Liberos don’t get much attention. I wanted my main character to be fascinated by volleyball when he is in the 3rd grade, not by the insanely good spikes that happen, but the saves done by the liberos, the foot saves, the pancakes, and everything else, so when he is in the 4th grade he takes taekwondo that helps him with his kicking. He does this until middle school where he wants to tryout for the volleyball team but realizes it’s girls only so he can’t join until he is in high school. Meanwhile he keeps doing taekwondo, he is skinny with his arms but his legs are strong because of the taekwondo training, so people say he should tryout for futball but he denies saying he wants to pursue volleyball as a Libero. Fast forward until he reaches high school and in his first year, he signs up for the volleyball team and immediately comes to be the Libero position as he practiced and honed his skills for 5 years. Then the storyline continues of his high school life and the losses and wins he takes along the way, he mostly uses his feet when he does saves but even though he has skinny arms, he is a phenomenal setter, so his approach to a match is usually to do the libero set, and the opponents think a wing spiker is about to spike, but then he setter dumps it, but he’s not a setter so he calls it a libero dump. Because his legs are so strong, he can jump high and dump the ball without fouling. The first page of the one shot starts like this, a spread of the mc looking over his shoulder and seeing the volleyball slowly tip on the ground as the dialogue is varying square thought bubbles saying, “And when the wall goes up and crashes” (Implying the blockers failed) “I look behind me and the ball has already made contact with the surface” (Implying they lost) “Before my eyes, before I can do my job” and thats my whole plan for a hook in one big yap session
