"Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in "Incredibles 2"--but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life. It's a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again--which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible."

I saw the original with my girlfriend. We took our 6 year old twins to the sequel. (They didn't find it predictable, though obviously my wife and I did.)

I had to explain the short to my daughter while trying not to cry.

8:07 I saw it at my local theater yesterday and there was a disclaimer on the screen just before the movie started that warned about there being flashing lights for epileptics.

I overall loved the movie, totally worth the wait. The ideals of the villan had me rooting for them at certain points. One of the best sequels I've ever seen

I think "don't trust rich and famous people" is an excellent lesson.

Let me start off by saying that I am a huge Pixar fan. I have just recently binge-watched every single one of their films again. Finding Nemo and the Toy Story films are my favorite Pixar films, but The Incredibles is definitely up there too. I have a sweet spot for Cars 2 (don't kill me!) because it was so much fun and felt much freer and liberated from traditional Pixar tropes. Incredibles 2 is also very fun and creative, although I am sure this film will find a much larger audience than Cars 2.

Since I was lucky enough to get a few preview screening tickets to this highly-anticipated film, I will avoid disclosing any previously unrevealed plot details or character motivations. Being a 67-year-old man, I had no one else to go with, so I decided I would take my 4-year-old granddaughter and her boyfriend/son. She loves Pixar so much and couldn't wait to see this movie (even though she might have been a little too young for this film). Since I am a loving grandfather and would do anything to make my grandchildren happy, I caved in when she asked if we could take her dog to the film since we just got it for her for her birthday last month. She has been unwilling to go anywhere without that dog since we got it for her. Our theater allows dogs if they are small and well-trained, so we were in the clear. In my head, I thought of telling her, "But honey, you ARE a dog, because you're a b*tch!" But I ended up smiling and saying, "Of course we could take the ol' puppy to the movies! It's not like he could do anything bad!"

But enough of the events leading up to my film screening. I feel that you came to this review to hear about the movie itself and my experience in the theater. Well, since this film has over a month to go before being released, I still won't say anything specific about the film, other than that it was very watchable and enjoyable. Even my granddaughter said she enjoyed it, which I was worried she would be too young to do. I was surprised that she actually found this film enjoyable, since she wasn't even looking at the screen for most of the film. She spent more than half of the runtime sucking my d*ck, assuming it was her boyfriend/son's. What a cutie!

I can honestly say that this was one of my favorite experiences going to the movies since I saw The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012 at the Century 16 multiplex at the Town Center shopping mall at Aurora, Colorado. I remember that movie screening so well because I also stood up for the cinema-goers when 12 people were talking during the movie. Suffice it to say, I "took care" of them, all right. They definitely won't be talking in a movie theater any time soon. My experience with Incredibles 2 also barely beat out my fantastic experience during The Emoji Movie last year where I manually pleasured myself since I couldn't take my granddaughter. I got thrown out of the theater and arrested, but the jail time was totally worth it and I would definitely do it again -- Maybe during Sherlock Gnomes (especially during Mankini's sexy, booty-shaking dance).

I have only one last problem with my Incredibles 2 viewing experience that I wish to disclose to you all. About half way through the film, my granddaughter's dog began barking out of nowhere. We think he was barking at my granddaughter's boyfriend/son since he is Mexican and my dog was raised as a staunch Trump supporter and Republican, but we aren't completely sure why he was barking still. Anyway, since I am a considerate person and I wish to respect those in the theater, I decided that I had to do something to keep my dog quiet, since it would be rude to have him bark in a crowded theater full of paying patrons. So, like any rational human would, I took out my AR-15 and exercised my constitutional second amendment right and took aim at my dog. His dumb eyes didn't even know what was going on right before I blasted his brains all around the theater. Luckily, his blood and guts only splashed a few other people around us and I apologized to them, so it was alright. My granddaughter lifted her head up for the first time during the screening (what an animal!) to see what the loud noise was. I told her it was in the movie and she nodded and continued pleasuring me orally while her boyfriend/son stared with jealousy. I felt proud of myself for standing up for the people in the theater against the stupidest creatures to ever exist: dogs.

I've only had 14 other experiences with killing my granddaughter's pets after they misbehaved, but this one was so memorable since it was in a crowded movie theater. I'll just tell her that I sent the dog to her great-grandfather's farm (even though he's dead after I ran him over in my car a while ago) like I did with all the other pets. Anyway, after the dog was silenced, I was finally able to enjoy this very entertaining, enjoyable film and walk out pleased (and it wasn't entirely from the movie).

4.5/5 stars - Definitely see it in theaters.

P.S. - After I did my job as a dog-owner to keep him quiet, I accidentally sat down on my gun in the wrong way and shot my granddaughter's boyfriend/son. That is the only reason that I am taking half a star off of Incredibles 2 rating.

Matt is totally right if Disney hadn’t bought Pixar this sequel wouldn’t have happen .... 12 years later. I hope you could sense my sarcasm as that comment by Matt was absolutely ridiculous.

I totally agree with Matt. I miss pixar being independent and being a bit more artsie.

Thank you so much for the seizure warning! I think most of us with epilepsy have just learned to look away really fast, and have our moviegoing partner—if we happen to have one—nudge us when it's okay to look. Otherwise you gotta go with audio cues and take little peeks until it's over.

I found the movie visually appealing, but I have to agree with Alfonsfo, the story was manufactured and predictable

I just saw it. I'd give it a B+ though the animation and setting would get a solid A. The villain I didn't really see coming, but I will say the Mr. Mom segments emotionally were done in Mr. Mom already. Jackjack saves those scenes, but the first Incredibles felt more impacting. But that might be my own viewpoint and life place right now.

While the plot twist was completely predictable, the animation was amazing and the story was overall good. Expectations were too high and that's why I kept my expectations low and was amused.

Seriously Matt ? Every goddamn Avengers / Superhero Popcorn Flick is amazing to you... except this one.

Even ALONSO agrees it's good xD

This movie was amazing! You get everything you wanted and more. The action scenes are great and that scene between screensaver and elastigirl where they are fighting it was super inventive and like nothing you’ve seen before.

Very predictable, very unoriginally structured, but dammit, every single joke is a bullesye. If you want a great plot with twists that take you by surprise, see something else. If you want to laugh until your ribs hurt, then this is a good choice.

Not every cast member is back. The late great Bud Luckey did not lend his voice to the government agent friend of Mr. Incredible again.
