We got our boat letters from the same place and they have stood up to the Irish Sea and Liverpool Bay so we (like you) are pleased with them. Perhaps you have. We did our cut on a breadboard but only enough to go through the peel-off side and left the top side intact. We then peeled from the inside edge towards the edge and flattened the whole thing down. I can put a link to it here if you want to have an alternative way that avoids damage to the gelcoat.

If ever you need signwriting done, I have a guy we use at work who is really cheap, he'll always do me a deal as we use him a lot for the cars and vans, just let me know.

Another goody, it's uncanny how you are doing the same jobs I have to do! You always seem to offer solutions for maintenance and improvements I am just about to do. At least I have your videos to lead the way and avoid the pitfalls. Mine's out of the water soon for the winter.... I will (amongst all the other tasks) be having a go at fitting the mast climbing system you have installed, polishing up the hull and fitting vinyl letters. Cheers!
