"Acres Wild" was released in 1978 on Jethro Tull's Heavy Horses album....one of their very best!

Heavy Horses is considered the second album in a trilogy of folk-rock albums by Jethro Tull, although folk music's influence is evident on a great number of Jethro Tull releases. The album abandons much of the folk lyrical content typical of the previous studio album, Songs from the Wood, in exchange for a more realist perspective on the changing world. Likewise, the band sound is harder and tighter. The album reached #19 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

This was a song I loved listening to when I was 16.

My fiance who died 10/11/13 after just returning from Afghanistan, had sent this song to me. I listen to it all the time because his loss is still fresh 4 years later. February 27th is his birthday. He was so young. He had excellent health, and cause of death was inaccurate. I'm a Christian but my faith in God is sorely tested especially during these milestones. Often music is the only thing that allows me to exist while suffocated by such grief.
