BEST DMR RADIO 2023/4 ???

My favorite is the Radioddity GD-88. What a fantastic HT. I have had mine for almost a year now and it just keeps getting better with all the firmware updates.

I have noticed that the GD-88 is on sale right now. Very tempting! Do any of these have aircraft receive?

I just bought a TYT MD-UV390 (without gps) and installed the open gd77 firmware. That being said, if I had to do it again, I’d probably wait and get an Anytone just for the support and Codeplug availability. My hotspot and gps module should be here on Tuesday, so my opinion might change shortly.

I'm totally new to Dmr and was wondering if any radio is capable of sniffing out frequency/colour code/time slot, if so is there one you would recommend. Thanks

do you find that having a hotspot is a must?
Or is your local DMR repeater adequate?

Anytone is not a single receiver? It is dual, and you can listen to two at the same time.

GD-88 all day here. Twice the radio and over $100us less in price. The 878 has a long way to go to catch up.

My biggest problem in using DMR radios is finding drivers for Windows 11. Can’t get the radio to communicate with the CPS.
