One of the most criminally underrated songs of all time

This song is like the perfect blend of depressing and comfy
I love it

Lyrics:
We're in a road movie to Berlin
Can't drive out the way we drove in
So sneak out this glass of Bourbon
And we'll go
We were once so close to heaven
Peter came out and gave us medals
Declaring us the nicest of the damned
Time won't find the lost
It'll sweep up our skeleton bones
So take the wheel and i will take the pedals
We're in a road movie to berlin
Can't drive out the way we drove in
So sneak out this glass of bourbon
And we'll go

I was recently reminded of TMBG music by watching a series on Netflix "Fisk", Birdhouse In Your Soul" played in the closing credits in one of the shows. It takes me back 30 years. Nothing but Love, love, love for these guys. I have to dig out my old albums!

Such an amazing end to such an amazing album, calming you down after the album.

makes me feel sad, yet completed. like an aching, yet whole, feeling in my heart.

a finale of sorts.

anyways flood is the best album ever, i have never been able to listen to an album like i do with flood. its timeless.

This version doesn't have my favorite part

"They said you were the king of liars
and I believed them and called you sire
I realize now that I have been deceived."

Thanks, Pete, but I think I'd rather be the meanest of the saved. Just sayin'...

Was this song ever used over the end credits of a movie? I seem to remember hearing it after a movie, but I can't remember which one.
