ABOUT THIS VIDEO :-
In this video Er. Vijish Shinde, Corporate Trainer of Civil Guruji (Civil Engineers Training Institute) is Explaining How to Calculate Loads in frame Structure Building || Structural Design

The total Load Calculation on Columns, Beam, Slab we must know about various load coming on the column. Generally, the Column, Beam, and Slab arrangement are seen in a frame type of structure. In the frame structure, the load is transferred slab to beam, beam to column and ultimately it reached the foundation of the building.

For load calculation of building, loads on the following elements are to be calculated:

A Column is a vertical component in a building structure, which is mainly designed to carry the compressive and buckling load. The column is one of the important structural members of the building structure. As per Load coming on the column, size is increased or decreased.

Column length is generally 3 times to their least lateral cross-sectional dimension. The Strength of any column mainly depends on its shape and size of cross-section, length, location, and position of the column.
The Beam is a horizontal structural member in building construction, which is designed to carry shear force, bending moment, and transfer the load to columns on both ends of it. Beam’s bottom portion experiences tension force and upper portion compression force. Therefore, More steel reinforcement is provided at the bottom compared to the top of the beam.

force and upper portion compression force. Therefore, More steel reinforcement is provided at the bottom compared to the top of the beam.

The slab is a level structural element of the building which provided to create a flat hard surface. These flat surfaces of slab utilized for making floors, roofs, and ceilings. It is a horizontal structural member whose size may vary depending upon the structure size and area and its thickness also may vary.

But slab minimum thickness is specified for normal construction around 125 mm. Generally, every slab is supported by a beam, column, and the wall around it.

Draw the L-section and cross section of a simply supported rectangular RCC beam with the following data : clear span 3.5 m, bearings on walls 200 mm, overall depth of 300 mm, width of beam 220 mm, main reinforcement 5 to 12 mm bars, 2 bars bent up at l/7 from the centre of support, stirrup 6mm @ 200 mm
C/c, hanger bar 2 to 10 mm diameter bars

One way slab =Ly/Lx is greater than or equal to 2 ; Two way slab =Ly/Lx is less than 2. ( Note : W x Lx/3 Triangular load for Bending moment calculation. At the time of Shear force calculation, formula will be W x Lx/4 ) ; W x Lx /2(1-1/3B^2 ) Trapezoidal load for Bending moment calculation. At the time of Shear force calculation, formula will be W x Lx /2(1-1/2B ).

I am not an engineer, but one mistake that they often do causes the collapse. They should never build two parallel poles without angular cross bars like X when the put heavy weight on top. The parrallel pillars will fall to one side or other as they will move parallel😅
