Toon Mania is S tier in my opinion, it's just too unique. That one and the toon Baron skin are top tier Smite skins.

Hot take but thana t5 is super overrated, Its good dont get me wrong, but its effects do NOT make up for it. Especially that it has 0 custom animations either or a special emote. Its just the most average evolving skin. God-slayer ares is 1000x better since it does everything thana's does but it actually does it BETTER.

Honestly, I’d put Toon Mania in S for sure. I didnt even play Cthulu much before this and seeing that skin made me buy it. Totem Caller and Frostfire are in A for me as well, and i’d move Baron’s up to B just because he looks like Blackheart, but otherwise I agree with yours.

Also, I’m personally putting Ragnarock X Thor in S tier, Gundam being one of the series I watched on toonami growing up gives it a special place to me, even though i didnt really follow the rest of the series after that. I remember watching Gundam and Dbz saturday nights and spending hours trying to draw them in my sketch pad, so upon seeing the skin i was devastated to find out you couldnt get it anymore.

The ullr t5 evolved when you hit level 12. And the animation set that came with it was insane for the time and for current day imo. I’m a support main and even I got to admit that skin being in B is a crime. MINIMUM tied with the ares one and we’ll above the bellona one

I agree with the Hel skin. It’s a nice skin but something is missing for it being a T5. I was kinda disappointed when it dropped

you can change the KKK and Chaac forms by using the VGS special btw, no need for the ult to switch them up

Hot taaake? Archon Thana is NOT an S-tier T5 skin.
The skin itself looks great with the evolutions, but aside from that... the ability SFX aren't that special, he doesn't have new animations to speak of, and no special emotes either like Demonic has. It's just a cool skin and "The First" which is why it gets overrated. I only started playing during Godslayer Ares so I just lack any special nostalgia/oldschool-hype glasses for this pretty angel man.

I also don't really like how the community base the T5 worth somewhat on the lvlup evolution aspect. A T5 can have multiple forms, amazing SFX and other special stuff, heckload of work put into it - but then there's still people like "no evos? worthlesss!"

I think the thanatos skin is a little overhyped, I dont think it's bad, but not s tier. Think it's B. If it came out now, I think people would be disappointed, and people rate it so highly just because it was the first

Ok speaking from a Baron Main and the Tier 5 of baron being my favorite skin in the whole entire game, i am kind of sad that most people don’t like his skin that much. But i can understand if you don’t like the theme of the skin being like alien parasite style you probably won’t like the skin itself. For me personally the voice lines and the storytelling of the skin in itself is just so great.

Honestly I agree with you on the theming bits, one of my major complaints with SMITE skins is the ebs and flows of theming where it feels like we get 30 Sci-Fi, Modern, techno, etc. skins. Obviously they're fine in moderation but I remember a period where that was basically all we were getting like "damn, Hi Rez REALLY wishes they were making Overwatch right now" vibes. And in a game all about mythology and folklore, seeing King Arthur fight Anubis in a hoodie and boxing gear just feels _weird._

And it's not like fantasy is a super restrictive genre either. There's a good dozen or so subgenres with thousands of ideas to pull from for fantasy skins.

You left out that SMITE invented music packs for the Ragnarok Force X skin and for some time it was the only way to change the music. While SMITE went on to further monetize music themes I believe this still remains the only skin to have its own music theme.

(maybe a bit biased ares main) why i love the T5 ares skin is how it relates to the character. i mean you look at that and you think THATS that god of war. not to mention how his final form is full of chains. i mean it really feels like your gonna chain and absolutely incinerate a god.

I wonder how some of the older tier 5s like Archon Thanatos and Ragnarok Force X would be regarded if they released today.

I don't main Cuthulu or Ares but they're my favourite T5 skins, ares is just cool and toon mania is so unique! I just wish they'd make an anhur T5

Hades Crow of Torment should be S tier only because the dance animation, i mean...It has a little crow doing a dab dance !
