I got sent to the store to get a "left handed shifter spanner" and after a suitable wait, the storeman told me there is no such thing and just to hold my regular shifter in the left hand.
30 years later, in a batch of second hand tools, I actually GOT a left handed shifter spanner! For real. It is one of my pride and joy tools from a lifetime of collecting tools. It is the same as a normal shifter but the thumb wheel has a reverse thread so it matches the left hand's thumb. Never would have guessed you CAN actually get a left handed shifter spanner. 👍

Used to work in the hardware trade, and the classic was the apprentice with the purchase order for a left-handed screwdriver a can of striped paint and a long wait, never got sick off that one ! 😊

My first car was an 87 holden barina (rebadged suzi swift), I got it for the cost of the last owners last fine he got, back then unrego, unroadworth was only $112 and then rebult the head threw some near new cv's in it, being a mech apprentice with actual skill is even better situation in the car department. drove it for 6 years before I put it on it's side, kept driving it and eventually got a magna.
