What to pack when travelling to Scotland

I'm finally able to travel back to Scotland to visit my family for the first time since moving to America. I thought I'd share with you all some practical advice on what to pack when traveling to Scotland. Enjoy!

I like the yellow coat. Also, we're going mid-June. I understand the layering, but are the heavy coats needed, or will a heavy raincoat be sufficient? We will keep an eye on the weather before we leave. We will also be in England for a week.
