Just came to see this in 2024 since I was getting stuck in the clinch in sparring. Awesome to see you trying to hit the 5k milestone and 4 years later you're at 285k!

I'm a Muay Thai novice and I was struggling in the clinch a lot at my last couple of trainings. The last technique of lowering the stance and straightening up is what people have been trying to explain to me but I wasn't getting it. I've been trying to pull my head back to straighten up instead of moving my base forward and I had to miss training yesterday morning because my neck muscles were so sore. Seeing you do it I think I can understand what my instructor and training partners were telling me. I'm going to clinch in my next sparring class and figure this out!

I've also been practicing your technique for how to land a body hook on the bag. There isn't a lot of emphasis on punching where I train (some punching, but mostly kicks, knees, elbows and clinch).I know your channel is mainly aimed at fighters but it's helpful and inspiring to hobbyists like myself as well. Keep up the good work champ!

The scariest thing that’s ever happened to me was a double hand clench knee to face so I appreciate this 😅

Awesome topic, especially considering how most gyms in the states lack good clinch training. Thanks.

I wonder if a Judo sweep would work while being caught in a clinch.

Can anyone tell me if judo and freestyle wrestling have a big difference when it comes to defending against this type of clinch in the video? And even if the difference is big, to what extent would a freestyle wrestler be able to at least not get knocked out if caught in a well-placed double hand clinch? And the judoka, what is the chance of him being knocked out in this type of clinch?

Nice tactics for clench defense.
Thanks for posting.
Your sparring partner talks way too much though🤣

A gun works perfectly

The man took the bullet and flexed his muscle so hard he shot the bullet faster than my gun could. What do I do?

The shoulder shrug and stepping in sideways is a much better technique.

The second escape, he could elbow u in the face

not very technical the way it's shown. Without proper use of shoulder and turning, that face push would be weak.
