Thank you. I have had my glass for over a year. You have inspired me to just try make a table like yours. I have watched many videos and this one is one of the best. I do not know why it took me so long to find it when I looked for exposure units. I am just glad I did.

It's awesome to see other DIY'ers doing stuff like this. My 2nd build is almost similar, (Video on my page) but I had space for an entire internal unit. Great job man! I love how it's hinged. I guess my only concern is that you glued your neoprene down. I know a ton of shops that get holes in their neoprene. Although, mine has held up a LONG time with 0 holes. I guess at some point, you just rip it all off, sand it down and re-glue. :-)

Like the 6000 watt upgrade. nice move. Perhaps i will look into more wattage myself. In the meantime, neoprene is somewhat fragile you say and is prone to ripping and you want this special rubber. This rubber sounds like something i should look into.

Hello Joseph, nice work on your vacuum frame. I built an exposure unit myself but didn't use neoprene rubber. Now I want to upgrade my machine using neoprene. My question is what was the thickness of the neoprene? Also I liked the way you hooked up the vacuum machine, I would like to use your system if I may.

Does your vacuum pump create an oil mist during use? I purchased two of the same pumps from Harbor Freight, and each one would create a cloud of oil mist within a minute of use.

Hi Josiah, Thanks for sharing your exposure unit video! We have something like this for exposing screens and I am currently looking at lamp /exposure options. Would you mind telling me how the 500w halogen work light worked / distance from screen etc? Does it get really hot? and can it expose good detailed images on the screen? I imagine it has draw backs if you needed to upgrade. Thank you!

Can this be used for offset printing plates also?

hi joseph, by now you have probably figured out that your next light upgrade is to metal halide, 1000 watts. and you learned that it cut your exposure time down to only a few minutes rather than the longer times with the halogen bulb.

@jojostar9999 do you know what the fitting is called that you put through the metal frame that connects to the quick release? Thanks you!
