I like the way you did that. No stupid tire squealing or over revving the engine. Just good common sense and the knowledge on how to get the max power out without senseless wear on a nice vehicle. Good job!

Not sure why people think V6's get much better gas mileage then V8's. Most V6's are underpowered putting more workload on the motor and in turn using more gas. This is mostly true in SUV's with V6 and V8 options

Awesome Jeep man. I just got a new 2010 Grand Cherokee with the 5.7. I love it so much. I'm going from a Charger R/T to the Jeep and the difference is quite big. Cops used to look at me all the time in the Charger. Now cops don't even think twice about a Jeep. The 5.7 in the Charger has 340hp, but the new Grand Cherokee has 370hp and a lot more torque. It's awesome in the snow too.

i've gone 115 in my 5.7 intake straight pipe and programmer. dont want my jeep going faster than 115 might pop the tires. not sure if tires are rated for that kind of speed. just cuz the car says 140mph dont mean u have to go 140mph

@doncasterq8
most of them are limited from factory. You must go to a service (dealer) asking for removal. But be ready to put a lot more of gas!

that's quite alot of RPM drop every time the transmission shifts while accelerating.

The way it works is, air and fuel are taken into the cylinder on the intake stroke, and then the power stroke occurs as normal, but after that, the intake and exhaust valves remain shut. So the engine compresses a bunch of exhaust, essentially, but then that exhaust pushes the piston right back again. In this way, the deactivated cylinders act like air springs, neither absorbing nor providing power for the engine. Chrysler says it's good for roughly 5% increase on fuel economy.

what kind of intake is that? it sounds pretty mean.

The transmission's a slushbox, but a good one nonetheless.

Nice Vid!

I own the same vehicle, and I'm still impressed myself... so are the sports cars that suck on my exhaust fumes!!

Great video, It would be interesting to do a mutual sub to compare V8 video, mine is a Cayenne with a humble 4.5
