🌄 Day 3 of My 4-Day Mountain March Through the UNESCO World Heritage Sardona Tectonic Arena 🌄
🎉 After a lighter day of hiking yesterday, I'm feeling energized and ready for an epic adventure today! This will be a HUGE day, and I can't wait to take you along with me! 🚶♂️✨
🌟 Starting Point: The beautiful campground of Elm ⛺
🏔️ First Stop: Tschinglenalp via a small gondola ride 🎢 – From there, the journey gets REAL. I've never seen a trail this steep before! 😅 But the good news? I know where I'm headed and how high I need to go, thanks to my experience from yesterday. 🚠
🤯 The Climb: After a few hundred meters of climbing, I started wishing I could see the top… and when I finally did… OMG 😲! It was WAY higher than I imagined! The Segnespass Mountain Lodge still seemed so far away. 🏔️
⏱️ 5 Hours Later: I finally reached the Segnespass Mountain Lodge! 🏞️ The view from the top was breathtaking, and the steep climb was even more intense looking back at it. 😵 I thought, "NEVER EVER would I go back down that way!" 😂
🍫 Snack Break: A well-deserved break with the BEST chocolate cake 🍰 and a refreshing Coke 🥤. Honestly, nothing has ever tasted this good after such a challenging hike! 😋
🗺️ Next Leg: After the break, I continued down the mountain pass towards Flims. The descent was tough, especially with the snowfields still around in late July. ❄️ The ladder was only half-clear, so I had to traverse through the steep snow – a tricky and nerve-wracking experience! 😬
🌸 OMG Moment #3: When I reached Segnesboden, I was completely blown away by the stunning view. 😍 Hiking through this flat moor with winding rivers, flower fields, and that incredible waterfall was like stepping into a dream. 🌈🌼
🎢 Final Stretch: After many kilometers of hiking, I took the new gondola partway down to Flims. Then, I hiked the last few kilometers to Trin, where today's campground awaited me. 🏕️
🔥 It was a tough day with lots of kilometers covered, but I’m so glad to have made it through! 💪 Can't wait to share what Day 4 has in store! Stay tuned! 🎥
