Thank you! This helped me out a ton. I've been looking for a recent video that explained how to resize the partitions before cloning. I'm also glad you showed how to use command prompt to clean the drive prior to formatting/cloning, otherwise I doubt this would have worked for me. I did run into one small problem right after your video stops where I kept getting an error message just after starting to clone, but I was able to fix it using free download called Acronis VSS Doctor. I think my antivirus had something to do with it, but if anyone else runs into a similar error just after pushing "start" it's worth trying. I think it may even be the same software developer as Macrium.

Thank you so much this is a great video. I bought a 250GB Crucial SSD to replace my slow Western Digital HDD. The Acronis didn’t work but this video made everything so easy. My laptop is much faster now.

Haha I had a spare 240gb ssd in my draw and when I seen this I thought I'd give it a go and now my windows is running on the 240gb ssd and I'm using my 1tb ssd that my windows used to be on as a full storage for my game, cheers this was really helpful 👍

I'm in the process of cloning my HD and I noticed on the "clone" dashboard the option "cloned partition properties" is missing, an update on other options would be useful for those who don't know what to do. Thanks for all your doing.

For the largest partition, all you have to do is drag & drop it last and left the app resize it for you.

This is a great video! Just replaced my Toshiba 1TB HDD with a 512GB SSD. The video was extremely helpful, because I wasn't sure if I could replace my HDD with a smaller SSD. Also thank you for the details on the disk partitioning part, with 3 or more partitions. Btw, the new Macrium Reflect has the "float right"/"float left" feature which allows you to clone partitions in any order. The laptop performance with the SSD is incredible, especially the startup! Thank you very much!!

Will all of the google, facebook passwords. Saved websites logins migrate with OS as well, when you chose migrate /clone OS?

I will be switching from 1tb hdd to 500 gb ssd

as of now this methods has to be tweaked a bit due to removal of the cloned property button on the bottom has been removed and instead you need to right click and and select the top option in the drop down menu
