Hearing examples in context has been the easiest way for me to learn theory for several months now. Thank you.

What confuses me is that all of the examples are using ascending licks. I don't know if my wording is wrong, or if everything is calculated by means of ascending, even if you are moving to a lower note. I'd like to find descending interval licks for association.

It might be easier for beginners if you turn off the echo and chorus

The 7th is the sour note in the outro solo of "Final Wars" by Buckethead. Its so fucking good.

Still rocket science to me. I can make melodies and stuff without the knowledge but I still can't get an understanding for the theory

Somehow it never worked for me, strange
All the intervals sound very very different to me. Like P5 from E to B sounds completely different to C G so I couldn't just "use a song" to learn an interval. I mean, if the song goes E B my mind can't just connect it to C G and all other P5.
So I guess I need to continue bruteforce learning them through practice...

That's not music theory you use songs when you start ear training in relative pitch to help you recognize intervals.
But you have to find your own songs that you can relate to. Rather than take somebody else's songs.

Minor 7th is stone free (henrix) or can't stop (rhcp)

To me, a perfect 4th was always the "ding, dong, ding" part from "Frere Jacques". And a perfect 5th was "Spinning Song". Did I mention that I came to guitar via piano?
