I remember back in the '80s, my girlfriend told her friends that I repacked her wheel bearings.
By the end of the year, I ended up doing the same for about 8 of her friends. All I got was a "thanks sweety" and a kiss from my girlfriend.
Looking back, I should have charged them cash.

I went one better than OEM when I replaced the hub assemblies on my Trailblazer. I went with Timken replacements as they are the same brand used on locomotives and railroad rolling stock. Yeah, they're expensive, but I'm willing to bet I don't have to change them again.
