Hi, I think the diamond was running too slow. I recently bought a diamond with chipbreaker and I will be running 80 diameter at 4000 rpm to get the suggested surface speed. All inall those inserts were great, I don't use Walter, but I will be trying the insert for steel that I used today and see how it works. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sending me here.

with CNMG aluminum inserts i can run DOC 0.2", 0.024"/rev feed, 1600 feet/min in EN AW6082 for all day, 26kW spinde on 70%
on such small machines you should use 0.015"/rev minimum and small 0.02" DOC so your spindle and rigidity can run it - only way to break it

mate, at $15 an insert I can live with the stringy chips or use 2011 instead of 6061 🤪
