this is probably one of the most useful ones yet. literally throw your bin of lego across the floor and go over it with this

Maybe add a functionality to shake up the compartments periodically so that the pieces stuck at an awkward angle, or smaller pieces stuck above a larger piece can pass through to their actual compartment

Jumping Jerry should be the name for the Robo Dog

“These things are too expensive!”

Matt 2 minutes before:

“I just bought a robot dog!”

This is great ! I would add one more layer at the end for the dust . So if there is any dust while vacuuming it would be easy take the last one with dust and dispose the dust in the garbage.

You should name the dog T.U.R.D. or
TOTALLY
UNNECESSARY
ROBOT
DOG

The only problem is the big bricks build up on top trapping some of the small bricks, but other than that, where can I buy one?

Bro imagine just saying “pick those Lego off the floor”

Your inventions are getting more and more useful over time.

This is awesome. With maybe a few more designs, it could be 99% accurate, as you can see some got stuck once the bigger pieces came in, but still got me to sub

Calling this invention "useless" is an understatement, this is the most useful

I would honestly buy this. My son's room is a landmine of Legos

Wait but that's not an unnecessary invention! We need more like this. I want one, but I need a new shop vac.
Mine went through a garage fire. It sounds horrible, even after I wd40d the bearings. So hook me up with a shop vac too, lol

Quick idea: if you design the plates so they can rotate independently from the housing and add spiraled grooves on the bottom of the plates it will rotate, further optimizing the self sorting

I believe many sizes of Lego can slide through any size of hole if it enters the hole end first... right? Every Lego end piece is around the same size

It's always sad to see channels like this one not staying true to their origins. This invention is just way too necessary to be found on "Unnecessary Inventions" ;)

I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work!

Really usefull invention, perhaps another filter for the realy small parts that are 0, 7 mm in diameter / square.

And a nice name for the robot-dog could be Lego-las.
