Russia seizes Western weapons in Ukraine's Avdiivka

Russian Defence ministry on Thursday (February 22) released video showing its soldiers walking across what is given as Avdiivka. Reuters was not able to confirm the location or date the video was filmed.

Russia reported full control of the town about 15 kilometers north of Russian-controlled Donetsk on February 17.

The soldiers, their faces covered with masks, were mopping up Avdiivka, according to the ministry.

The men showed buildings where they were hiding to reload they guns during the fighting and demonstrated weapons and ammunition they captured from Ukrainians.

Obviously America has trained Ukrainian soldiers very well. According to America's instructors, "when you are facing an uphill battle, and is losing, drop everything".

That was what America did in Afghanistan as recently as two years ago. Ukrainians do not need too much encouragement to flee though.

I have been a lifelong Conservative voter, but since Johnson and then Truss and now very disappointed by Sunak, I will not vote for them at the next election. I never signed up to send our weapons and money to Ukraine. Also to have learnt that Johnson went to Turkey on behalf of Biden and Co. to dissuade Zelensky to sign the peace accord in 2022 is a disgrace and he is personally responsible for many hundreds of thousands of dead Ukrainian young men. My parents, who were diehard Conservatives, would have detested this lot.
