Did you know JJ Redick could dunk? This two foot, two handed dunk was the only dunk Redick had in his entire NBA career. It was against the Atlanta Hawks in the 2011 NBA Playoffs. To quote the film White Men Can't Jump, "the sun shines on a dog's a$$ somedays!".

you get an automatic +5 dunk ability when on the same team as Prime Dwight Howard

He shared in his podcast (I think episode with Dr J maybe?) that he had, up to that point, dunked every year on his birthday just to remind himself that he still could.

A two handed dunk and he made it look easy. When you remember that this guy is considered unathletic by NBA standards, you start to get an idea about how freakish those dudes really are.

Actually watched Redick do all sorts of dunks pre-game while he was in Orlando. He would throw "lobs" to himself, do trick dunks, etc. Was actually quite impressive.

He was windmilling and doing BTL dunks in high school. I grew up in Roanoke VA when he was at Cave Spring, and their warm up lines were wild. Him, Tyler lumsden, Tom Hagen, to name a few were doing some really incredible dunks at ANY level, let alone high school lol. It was actually kinda shocking to see him go from that to "no dunks" in the league.

It’s a miracle the rim was able to withstand the ferocity and power from that dunk

I remember this moment clear as day. I was in my college dorm watching the game with a friend on a laptop. When Redick dunked we just turned to each other and went "....did that just happen?", before shrugging and turning back to the game. Epic moment.

Miss when black blue and white have been the dominant color wat of magic jerseys. Why ever did they choose orange as their city edition anyway? Makes me feel like watching old Phoenix Suns games every time they wear it.

6'4 only dunked twice in his NBA and college careers combined. 😭
I know he's rich I'm not trying to hate

Is something that just happened once and surely we will never see again, that's what makes this moment THAT important in NBA history.

Reddick just mentioned this moment on his podcast while interviewing Gilbert

He could definitely jump.A two handed vertical dunk is good for someone 6'4 in.I guess dunking just wasn't a priority for him.Fun fact tho.I have seen it over the years.Everybody in the NBA can dunk from the shortest guy to the tallest guy.
