JJ trying not to blush when Crawford said he’d average 26

People forget JJ averaged 17ppg on 42% from 3 and 18ppg on 40% from 3 in back to back years (he was 33 and 34). He shot 42% from 3 for his career attempting 5 3s a game. He would EASILY average 20ppg +. He’s 18th on the all time 3pt list while not being in the top 10 of minutes played (from that list). An extremely underrated player & shooter.

JJ is an exact definition of a generation too early. He had that confidence, ability and IQ to create his own shots, call for his shots and get hot when he needed to, look at his highlights. Dude was a killer

For anyone who doesn’t think JJ will average 20 plus is insane, he averaged 18 as a 3rd or 4th option and was old. If he got to play today in this era he could easily average 22

The fact that he avg 18 in Philly is crazy. I gotta agree, he would def have 20+ a game if he played in modern offenses

When Crawford co-signs your offensive dreams it's real😂

Steve Kerr emphasizing high mobility and constant motion during plays has been such a revelation for the NBA

Jamal is kind of right. Maybe not 26, but 23 or so. I dont agree with 4 transition layups a game--he never approached that at any point in his career. But 22-24? Yep.

THE GLAZING IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE! The difference between JJ and the players named is that they're either better shooters, or also had defense to remain on the court and earn their shots.

Yo Jamal let us know where the fountain of youth is ⛲️ . JESUS this guy doesn’t age lol. He looks the same as when he played on my Knicks a million years ago.

JJ's fade to the right off the screen 3 was incredible.

Jump shots fading left and right require the brain to do an order of magnitude of caculations greater than a straight jump shot. The fact that he was consistent with it always amazed me.

I remember him playing in the 09' Finals against Lakers. Hedo, D. Howard, JJ.. that was a team!

I like how humble jj portrays himself. I’m not sure deep down he’s humble bc he was a killer but the man handles himself with grace

I agree.... if prime JJ played in today's game he's def averaging 20 or more... he was a very underrated player

Idk about 26 but I think a few low 20-point seasons would've been possible.

Crawford is an absolute basketball legend and a true student of the game. Not just an nba legend but a basketball legend

It was weird to watch that Orlando team be so ahead of the curve in some aspects but yeah watching JJ in college to then watch him during those Orlando teams when they were playing well JJ was an after thought for the most part. Dwight was a fckn monster during that time though. Lewis Hedo and Nelson. Makes you wonder if he had more of a responsibility what that team could have accomplished. Maybe I'm wrong but I do wonder if he would of had more of a green light in his situations what could of been.

JJ would not be getting 8pts a game off transition layups wtf 😂

I've been saying this too. JJ was drafted way too early. Not talking about the age, I'm talking about the skillset. A young JJ plays so similar to Tyler Herro. JJ isn't just a catch and shoot guy, he can create for himself. It's just some systems don't made him fluorish. In SVG's system, everything runs through the bigs. JJ would never get the ball because the Offense ran through Jameer Nelson and Dwight Howard. Went to the Clippers, spent most of his prime there. Fluorished there, but as a role player. In Philly, they used him the way the Warriors used Klay on offense, hence JJ averaged his career high in points.

All I can say is, Duke JJ is different because Coach K used him right. NBA JJ is one of the intelligent role players but one of the could've beens if someone used him right.

I can definitely see him having a avg 22pt a couple years with a klay type of green light role on a contending team for sure. When JJ was at Duke the green light was always on and he was making very tough shots from deep.
