I get so tired of people using that word. Fearmongering. Why can't people realize that we are in a time when we better think warning instead fearmongering. Keep it up girl. There are people who really need your encouragement.

I would add— go to the dentist, get any medical procedures you need, order any incidentals you might need like socks & underwear, get your pets to the vet if needed. Stay safe y’all

Get Dollar store Listerine. Is the WD-40 of prepping. You can put it in a spray bottle and use it as an insect repellent, it's an antiseptic, it cuts grease. A bottle of cheap Dollar store Listerine and a roll of paper towels and you got hand sanitizer wraps or a quick bath.

Instead of always going big, GO SMALL. 4 oz jars of mayo are great for making tuna / chicken salad for one or two meals and then it’s empty no need to worry about refrigeration. Condiments at restaurants are mostly free. Get packets of mayo/whatever. Throw out yearly ;).

I am focusing on things I can't do by myself. Like lifting bags of chicken feed for the winter. Found out 2 weeks ago my husband will be having surgery on the 26th. He will be down for 6 weeks. We have been going like crazy. He finished a fence and is working on a straw shelter. Garden needs to be put to bed. Family gathering tomorrow. We have 3 days to get everything done. I can always run for basic supplies on my own. Did I mention my husband is on the downslide to 80 and I'm right behind or that we are helping to raise a 5 and 7 year old? They are my heart and my priority. God is our rock. We can do this! We live in the tri city area of Michigan.

Unfortunately I am "playing" power outage right now. My full chest freezer died so I am canning everything possible to save it. The meat is just about done and I now have shelf stable meals for months.

One thing to include in your emergency binder would be a list of account numbers for utilities, banking, etc. Also, having a hard copy of your latest bank/investment account statements might be helpful. I’m working on creating a listing of different meals I can make with items on hand in the pantry to free up some brain bandwidth in case it’s needed. We’re also working on canning up as much “stuff” from our freezer as we can.

A dock workers strike could affect us as well. No time like the present to do as much as we can.

If people think you are being a fear monger. Let them. When all crap happens and you’re NOT panicking then they might think again. Keep on keeping on lady!! And thanks!!

Rest, Leisa. You’re pushing yourself awfully hard. I’m worried for you. You’ve put all the info and tips out. It’s our responsibility now to get our acts together. Luv ya!🍀

One day I was praying about the security issues I could have with windows. My mind immediately went to some old wrot iron railing for porches I have here. Good reinforcement I would think.

I would suggest, regardless of age, picking up random braces for all body parts as you find them at reduced prices. Sure, you can wrap up an injury, but a brace is almost priceless when you need it.

After 20+ years of “prepping, ” I’d recommend streamlining all the things. You don’t need 17 different cleaning products. You mostly need vinegar and some form of soap. You don’t need 45 different sizes of bandaids. You need regular and some very large. Waterproof are great. I have found my worst issue is food variety. I have way too much. I need proteins, veg, and carb in whatever form works for me. And some random condiments. Just cuz something is clearanced doesn’t mean I’ll ever use it.

Preparing for civil unrest over an election in The United States of America is beyond my comprehension. Having said that, I am prepping, planning and stocking to the rafters. Thanks for the 30-day plan, it's very, very helpful!

Hey Leisa!!! I am also concerned over the potential of civil unrest throughout the end of this year and beginning of next year!!! Working as hard as possible to fill in the holes and hope and pray for the best!!! May the peaceful be the majority! Brightest Blessings to you Phil, and your family!!! Prescription meds will be the hardest one as many are only allowed to be gotten every month...that's my biggest fear...we will have to bug in due to me being in a wheelchair unless it's an extreme situation! Got a plan of how to block off the entryways and our "safest" spot is the hallway. Hopefully our car will be out of the hospital (we got rear-ended) very soon so we can get her ready again!!! May we all be safe and prepared!!!

I found a lady on FB Marketplace who sold me 14 half-gal Ball glass canning jars for $14, so only $1 each! Walmart’s regular price where I live in MI is $21.07 for 6, or $16.44 for 6 on sale. That’s a cost per jar of $3.51 or $2.74 on sale. So I am getting a great deal! I just recently got my first rechargeable vacuum sealer for glass canning jars, which I learned about from your videos. Transitioning my dry Walmart pasta from the store packaging to glass jars. Gotta keep ants, mice, or any other critters out of the food storage. Thank you for the inspiration!

My hand crank emergency radio also has a small solar panel on it so you can recharge it in the sun. I don't have a pop up tent but, I figure that I can make a tent with a card table and cover it with blankets.

Don’t humans have to be told to do something 21 times before we get if or remember it!
Keep going! Thanks!
