This was a great review and explained effortlessly. I was not about to read this book. I listened to the audiobook. It took about a week to get through. I find it very informational. I was investing broker mutual fund company and paying fees to my advisor at 5.25%. I knew enough to manage my own account and moved my money to Vanguard and pick the right funds so far.
I could see how you'd put the book down, its filled with a lot of fluff, it could be about 100 pages easily. But he dangles a carrot in front of you to keep reading to the next 4 chapters.

I tried to read the book about 4 times in the end I found a summary and that was sufficient with some relevant examples.

I purchased this book, so I sure as hell will read it just to give myself food for thought. It does have a motivational feel to it and it's motivating to be in a positive mindset and set goals. I'm writing and summarising while I read so I can reflect on the information without having to lug around the book. Thank you for your review.

one thing I've realized is that you'll get more info from someone a few steps ahead of you, rather than taking advice from some billionaire that's high in the clouds somewhere.

Good review Adam...I've never read his stuff but you aren't the 1st person I've known to have read his stuff - and every one of them has become a lot more successful. Was it due to him & his techniques -- they don't give him full credit but they don't say his advice was wrong either

I've just started reading this book and i feel he doesn't get straight to the point its a good book but it will beat you round the bush.

he basically just advises people to invest in S&P 500 for 30-40 years to make sure get an index fund that is low cost

Me and Sue got lucky with some shares when we were young which enabled us to put a massive down payment on our house which will be paid for in a couple of years so having the mortgage of our backs in our early 40's will be massive so sometimes luck can play a part like these sort of vids Adam #mint

The book in general is a huge advertisement.

I read this book and was mostly common sense, invest regular amounts of money in an account that compounds interest(most savings accounts) and pick the one with highest interest rate. I done this with my kids accounts, i put my own money in as well as savings for them and got 3.50 average interest, i made 10's of thousands by doing this. Don't really like Tony Robbins he's got a smug character and very untrustfull look to him.
