If you believe that the crop circles are alien in nature, then they are already seeing, AND UNDERSTANDING the discs. There one design that answered our design of symbols showing our nature, a human face, where our planet is in the galaxy, etc. The crop circle was an alien head and a star system showing one of Orion's stars and a planet near it. Even if you don't believe in aliens, it was pretty cool.
