He was a true soldier.

"After soldier's death, the badlands changed forever. Fights stopped for good, even Gray Mann gave up. Scout went back to Boston and became a baseball teacher. Pyro dissapeared, never to be seen again. Heavy became russian history and literature teacher on one american high school. Enginner went back to Texas and became a famous local car mechanic. Medic went back to Germany but he didnt go back to Rottenburg, instead he decided to work in a hospital and do surgery on people with serious injuries. Sniper ended his carreer as a sharpshooter and went back to Australia, he became a farmer and lived a calm joyful life. Spy first went back to France but later he moved to Spain where he seduces women to this day. And Demoman...he took soldier's death really bad, after arriving back to Scotland, he couldnt get over death of his best friend and began to drink too much alcohol, eventually he developed excessive alcohol usage disorder. Fortunaely, he is now in medical care and hopefully will get better soon. The end."
