In Marvel Rivals, everybody says Wolverine is not a good hero, but Yckor makes him seem like an S Tier OP character without a doubt. But is Wolverine underrated or is Yckor just that good?

One of the biggest problems with Wolverine is how inconsistent the leap and ult hitboxes are

now knowing that wolverine is meant to target tanks... that makes so much sense for the character. like "give me the biggest guy on the battlefield, i wanna kick his ass" is the shortguy energy perfect for him

He may have been a menace this game but his personal pocket healer is the true MVP. None of what he did wouldve been possible without the healer's constant attention.

Big props to his support to allow the "shreeding" to happen. Look at his health bar, he has someone with him nearly constantly. Without it, this gameplay is impossible. Wolverine is hard to track as he's leaping and flying around, so whoever's keeping him alive is doing a great job and deserves equal praise. MVPs typically end up being the DPS who kill a lot, but in reality if it wasn't for a good support or two, they'd get wrecked in seconds in these mix ups.

Saw a video talking about Wolverine and apparently he does health percentage damage which is probably why he does so hard on tanks

Have the check out wolverines status on the rivals site. It has a hidden stats not in game that wolverines damage scales based on the health of the opponent, so he is made to be a tank shredder. That’s why he was always focusing tanks first and doing so much damage to them

0:25 both, a lot of people play wolverine wrong, but Yckor is something else on him, he makes playing Vanguard aganist his Wolverine a horror game

He’s a tank duelist, his point is to go after the tanks and drag them rather then the supports due to his claws doing health based dmg

Wolverine is definitely underrated, you just have to play him in a unique way to fully utilize him

What should be added to wolverine.

1. Passive healing that activates when he is not receiving damage
2. Wall climb using his claws
3. Bleed damage that stacks (damage over time). The more he hits somebody the more bleeding damage.

He is so aware of cover, using his leap to drag enemies to positions where their teammates cant help them, always pouncing to places where he is relatively safe. Tremendous map and positioning awareness.

It’s super clear from these comments that a lot of players don’t realize this is a team game. You will have more success when you work as a team. Wolverine is fine but I wouldn’t mind buffs. He’s my go-to dps. Currently Diamond 3.

3. Go after specific targets. Primarily tanks and then supports

Wolverine isn't bad, his kit suggests that he just wants to fight tanks. Thats his main role. I main Wolverine because he is incredibly easy to use, and since no one plays him, they don't know what to expect.

Wolverine is solid when you use him right. You domt just run in, you wait for an opportunity and kill tanks because he does more damage the higher health the character has and add in a good healer and he is viscious

I think a nice buff to him would be to increase his running speed by like 25% when he's within 15 meters of an ennemy. This way he can close the gaps
