I was diagnosed with ocd when i was 13. I went through a lot of therapy and medication. I took my last pill about a month ago and im 19 now. I don't think anyone can even imagine the pain you have to go through when you have ocd. If you, my unseen friend are reading this comment and you have ocd or you have the same symptoms, i love you, i understand you, and i deeply hope you manage it as soon as possible.

I recovered from OCD and you can definitely recover. Do ERP as much as possible and refuse reaction.

I felt when he said in OCD you don't control your mind, your mind controls you.

Only two ways to define OCD:
1. the worst form of overthinking
2. the cruelest MENTAL TORTURE.

Very well explained :) It's funny how so many people suffer in silence around the world and yet we think we are all alone :(

OCD can't be seen from outside . It's a bully inside your head that keep attacking u with bad thoughts and making u do things u don't want to do by giving u heavy anxiety . It's soo serious . No joke !!

I am into tears by seeing the comment section that there are people like me, I am not ALONE and the best thing is-we understand each other. It sometimes kills me with depression by thinking the losses, the misunderstood by everyone, the lonely sufferings, the monster indie us, the unseen silent battles. May ALLAH protect you all and grant you recovery asap, Ameen.

Ocd produces the worse thoughts imaginable about the people and things you love. Forcing the compulsion because you cannot risk it. Complete respect for this guy.

OCD is a prison. No other way to describe it. Anyone who doesn’t have it will never understand the pain it causes those who are afflicted with it. Prayers for all those still suffering. There are brighter days ahead. Stay strong folks

OCD is such a bad disease that we can not express what are the thoughts we are going through. Normal people will not understand your prblm

Being an OCD person i really see him as an inspiration. ERP is good but combined with CBT it would be super effective(just helped me a lot in my life). The worst thing is that people wash their hands and clean their room and say they have OCD but you know OCD IS MORE THAN THAT.

Nicely explained. I have OCD, and I have a long way to go, but whatever improvements I've brought in my life, is all because of will power. We need to have faith in ourselves, we need to be confident and we must remember that we can't let OCD take control. Will power is everything. We will have to find the strength to fight it. The strength, the power all lie within us, we have to train our minds to not get carried away by those disturbing thoughts. We are not alone, there are thousands of people affected by OCD. Everyone's fighting their own battles. We just need to have faith that everything's going to be okay.😊

“That’s what OCD does to you.” Such powerful words that those of us who suffer or have suffered can relate to.
