Perfect ending. Three and a half minutes to show how damaged he was, how he couldn’t get back to normal life, and the perspective that will heal him. Masterful writing.

It was painful to watch, Cage is a great actor when he's at his best. He looked like a broken man at the end of this movie.

'You and I are probably the only people that ever really cared about Mary Ann', gets me everytime, so sad😭

After all that evil, all that pain, all that filth, he sees the innocent eyes of his child and it as much as it probably fills him with joy, it also fills him with even more shame. Then when he stumbles down the hall and hears his wife mutter his name, he must feel relieved to hear her voice, and again, filled with shame. Yeah we live such sheltered lives its pathetic.

He was able to kill the evil in the end but he's never going to be the same man ever again😣 he saw what was in the dark, he even had to lower himself to their level just to find the truth & make it back home, he will always live in fear as his daughter grows up & hoping she never falls in that Darkness in her life😱

The fact that this movie puts a Lovecraftian twist on human evil is why I love it. Also I believe, it accurately potrays how ugly the real world is. And presents a scary and very deep question, how can someone live with themselves after being exposed and infected by the darkness that exists in all of us, can you really bounce back from that version of hell?

It's glad to see few people to take justice from innocent victims.

And they say Nicolas Cage is a bad actor? Foh. He nailed that scene.

In the end the message and moral of the story is once you enter someone else world or the darkside of like you might not be ready to enter it fully showing Tom was not ready to inter the darker side of life and knowing not everything is as easy as it seems as he enter the inferno and will take him a long time to move on from it

Really good acting by Nicolas Cage at 0:35 - 0:50.

Tom Wells Definetly had gone through the abyss of hell at this point. He was genuinely crying because he had just killed 2 people and at heart he really was not a killer. BUT he was a parent and he had to give justice to a lonely grieving mother even if it meant going way of outside his principles. Tom Wells was the hero that showed up just alittle too late.

As dark as this movie was, it actually had a happy ending. Mary Anne Matthew's mother finally learned the truth about what happened to her and her killers were finally brought to justice.

For Tom that Letter is a closure for him that he did good cause he was almost in brick of brokenness inside because of what he witnessed in the world of full of wicked people.
Evil is Revelant
As we Good Men we only need to prevent it to happen
Not to seek it Let someone take that Job.
This One is Tough Enough
And His Name is Jesus.
